How do I check if I’m on the Electoral Roll?
Electoral Roll data is an essential dataset for identity verification and so it’s important than an individual is registered on the electoral roll. Each year the local councils throughout the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) will send a voting registration form, this is usually in August of the year. The voting registration form must be completed to provide the occupants who will be resident at the property on 15th October. Providing the individual remains a resident at the address there is nothing more to do to register on the voters roll. If the individual moves or was not in the property at the time the electoral registration form was sent, they must register themselves. To register to vote you must contact your local council.
If you’re unsure whether you are registered on the electoral roll you can check this by either confirming with your local council or check how your registration looks with identity data providers.
