County Court Judgment (CCJ)

A county court judgment, CCJ, is a type of court order in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. CCJs are registered against individuals by the county courts and are primarily used as a negative indicator as part of a debt collection process. CCJ records are official records are a good dataset for verifying an identity. A dataset of CCJ records is collated by a not for profit organisation called Registry Trust, who collate the records from all of the county courts of a daily basis and publish a comprehensive dataset of CCJ records to credit reference agencies.

Insolvency Data

Records of insolvencies, including bankruptcies, individual voluntary arrangements and debt relief orders are issued by the courts if an individual is unable to repay a debt or debts. The data is usually used as part of a credit risk assessment to confirm the individual is insolvent, however is also a good source for identity verification. The records created by the insolvency orders are verified to be correct and accurate at the point at which the person became insolvent.
